KCSi-T.V. News SEE MARCH 12 REVISED RELEASES
March 9, 2010 Jamestown, ND (KCSi-TV News) -- The U.S Army Corps of Engineers in Omaha reports that the combined releases from Jamestown and Pipestem Dams will be 1,800 cfs. Previously the Corps indicated a combined release, "up to," 1,800 cfs.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist, Monday (Mar 8th) spoke in a teleconference with the Corps Chief of Water Control, Tim Temeyer in Omaha.
Temeyer said the Jamestown and Pipestem Dam releases will not occur until the James River peaks at the LaMoure gauge then starts to drop.
Temeyer also said the model suggests selective areas in Jamestown will need to be diked, involving a few homes along the river channel.
