"Polar Pig-Big Splash" Raises About $10,000

Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) -- The Jamestown Hospital Hospice program benefited from the businesses, and individuals donating to the Annual "Polar Pig, The Big Splash," on Saturday January 30th. MORE STORY BELOW VIDEO....
The fundraiser was again held at the Stutsman Harley Davidson location in Jamestown, which helps to organize and host the event.
Pledges were made to have participants plunge into the icy water at the location.
The fundraiser is sponsored by the Stutsman Harley Owners Group (HOGS) and the One Eyed Pirates of District-8 ABATE of North Dakota.
A chili cookoff also benefited hospice, as did a silent auction.
One of the organizers, Don Wegner of Jamestown says the plunge raised $6,426.00 with a total close to $10,000, with other contributions including collection jars placed around Jamestown. The proceeds go to the Jamestown Hospital Hospice program.
