Noridian May Protest Bid Selection
For Five Year Contract
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Noridian Administrative Services says it did not win a $150 million, five-year contract to provide Medicare administrative services in four states.
The Fargo-based agency had previously provided services in Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Idaho.
Officials say the contract was awarded to National Heritage Insurance Corporation, which is based in Maine.
Jay Martinson is chief operating officer and executive vice president for Noridian. He says the it's too early to tell if the failure to win the bid will result in layoffs. He says Noridian may protest the outcome of the bid selection.
