Jamestown, ND -- The National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown will hold it’s annual
Buffalo Foundation fundraiser banquet on June 18th this year.
On Wednesday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable Channel 2, Museum Director, Felicia
Sargeant says, the event will be at the Jamestown Civic Center, with a Mardi Gras theme
this year.
Tickets are available. She adds, that purchasing tables has become a popular way to
purchase tickets, with each table seating, eight. As of Wednesday, she says 12 of 72
tables are still available.
Ms Sargeant adds, the National Buffalo Museum is set to facilitate events and services
with Jamestown’s 125th Anniversary celebration.
She says the Museum is selling 125th memorabilia, and soon, items will be able to be
purchased on line.
The National Buffalo Museum will start summer hours Memorial Day weekend, and will
be open 8-a.m., to 8-p.m. every day. Till then the current hours are Mon-Fri 9-a.m. to
5-p.m., Sat. 10-a.m. to 5-p.m., and Sun. noon to 5-p.m. Temporary summer exhibits will
be on display.
The Frontier Village will be busy this summer. She says, the Fort Seward Wagon Train
will arrive back in town at the Frontier Fort and camp there on July 4th.
Entertainment in conjunction with their return is being planned at the amphitheater.
Ms. Sargeant points out, the White Cloud Days celebration this year is July 10-13th.
She says no parade will be held this year, as, a week earlier, the 125th Anniversary parade
will be held.
She says, for those wanting to get a look at White Cloud, and Dakota Miracle, the best
time is early morning and early evening when the sun is lower, and the albino buffalo are
light-sensitive, having pink eyes.
