Jamestown Residents Nominated for Highway Patrol Award
Undated (KCSi-T.V. News) -- The North Dakota Highway patrol reports that several
Jamestown residents have been nominated for the Colonel’s Award For Excellence.
On Saturday March 15th, approximately 1,600 people from Jamestown and outside the
area participated in The Runnin O’ The Green fundraiser. Six Jamestown residents took it
upon themselves to help keep participants from getting behind the wheel, after drinking
alcohol. They donated their time, personal vehicles and gas, from 11-a.m., that Saturday until 5-a.m. Sunday. The transports were non-stop for the duration. Donations received
from the recipients of the rides were given to this year’s Relay For Life.
Individuals nominated for the award by Trooper Tom Herzig, were:

Mary Klundt
Lorene Iverson
Jo Schwartz
Doreen Brophy
Pam Golde
The awards will be presented Thursday May 8th at the Stutsman County Law
Enforcement Center, at 12:15-p.m., by Lt. Eldon Meher, and Trooper Tom Herzig, on
behalf of Colonel Mark Nelson.
