(AP) - A National Transportation Safety Board report says a pilot killed in a southeastern North Dakota crash two years ago lost control of the plane in a thunderstorm.
Bob Nelson, of Battle Lake, Minn., died on Aug. 24, 2006, when his plane went down in a slough 10 miles northwest of Kulm. The wreckage was discovered some six weeks later.
The NTSB report says the 60-year-old Nelson flew into a thunderstorm that was "intensifying around the accident time" and resulted in "loss of aircraft control."
Nelson was flying from Bismarck to Fergus Falls, Minn. when the plane went down.
The NTSB says Nelson did not request any weather briefings before the flight.
A preliminary NTSB report said earlier that Nelson had been flying his single-engine Piper Cherokee at altitudes between 200 feet and 500 feet before the crash.

Wahpeton police say the Gates City Bank was robbed about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. No one was hurt.
The amount of money taken was not released.
Authorities say they don't know if the robber was armed.
The suspect was described as a white male, about 6-feet tall.
CANDO, N.D. (AP) - The Highway Patrol has identified a man killed in a Towner County crash.
Troopers say 52-year-old Brian Morris, of Bismarck, was killed in the crash on Tuesday.
The Highway Patrol says Morris was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that had stopped at a stop sign and was struck by a pickup.
The patrol says the SUV, driven by 53-year-old Gerald Paulson of Bismarck, was on a gravel road west of Cando and that Paulson was driving in the dust caused by the pickup. Authorities say Paulson did not realize the pickup had stopped at a stop sign, and struck the rear of the truck.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -The lawyer for a Fargo teenager accused of killing his sister wants a new judge. Sergei Carlson's lawyer says Judge John Irby has said that the only sentence he would accept for Carlson is life in prison with the possibility of parole. Defense attorney Mark Beauchene says that shows bias. Prosecutors disagree.
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Morton County commissioners have put off a decision on a proposed 8,000-animal-unit feedlot near Crown Butte. The commissioners say they'll take it up July 17th.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Minnesota man accused of swindling money from his aging aunt has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of misapplication of entrusted property. Fifty-seven-year-old Reed Satrom of Detroit Lakes, Minn., has been ordered to serve 90 days in jail and repay more than $20,000.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. wants to build a small electric power plant that would use waste heat to generate electricity.
North Dakota's Public Service Commission is considering the request. State regulators will wait to see if anyone wants a public hearing on the proposal.
Commission President Susan Wefald says the plant would be located near Glen Ullin, in Morton County about 50 miles west of Mandan.
It would use heat given off by a Northern Border pipeline compressor station to create up to 7.5 megawatts of electricity.
The compressor station itself is run by natural gas. Its purpose is to force natural gas into the pipeline and increase the amount of gas the pipeline may carry.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Otter Tail Power Co. electric customers have been paying sharply higher bills in recent months. But North Dakota's Public Service Commission says the price spike is ending.
The commissioners say fuel cost adjustments on the June bills of Otter Tail's North Dakota ratepayers will be smaller.
Commission President Susan Wefald says a customer who uses 750 kilowatt-hours of electricity each month will see a decline of $7.65.
The increase happened because South Dakota's Big Stone power plant was shut down for maintenance late last year.
Big Stone supplies electricity for Otter Tail's system, and the utility had to buy more expensive power elsewhere. The cost was passed along to customers and spread out over four months.
UNDATED (AP) - A man is on a 420-mile trip along the Pembina Trail to mark Minnesota's 150th anniversary as a state.
The trail runs from Pembina, in northeastern North Dakota, to St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ostby, who farms near Gatzke, Minnesota, figures to travel about eight miles a day, and wind up at the Minnesota State Fair in late August.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Rookie quarterback Kyle Wright has been waived by the Minnesota Vikings, who reduced their roster to the 80-player maximum ahead of training camp.
More shuffling could come before the team reports to Minnesota State, Mankato, on July 23. But the Vikings needed space for their five draft picks, none of whom have yet to sign a contract.
Free-agent defensive backs Marcus Griffin and Travis Key were waived earlier this week. The NFL previously allowed teams to have more than 80 players in camp, using exemptions for those who participated in the spring developmental league in Europe, which has been shut down.
Wright had few opportunities with Tarvaris Jackson, Gus Frerotte, Brooks Bollinger and rookie John David Booty ahead of him on the depth chart.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Mike Miller says he's always thought of Minneapolis as "home" when it comes to rooting for professional sports teams. Now, he's a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves following an eight-player trade last week.
The Mitchell native's NBA career has taken him to Orlando, Memphis and now the Twin Cities.
Timberwolves vice president Kevin McHale says Miller's accuracy from 3-point range will be important, but that he brings other things to the team by spreading out the defense and making plays.
Miller averaged 16.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and shot 43 percent from 3-point range for Memphis last season.
